Born in Brooklyn, NY, she received her B.A. from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY in 1975, and her M.Ed. from Northeastern University, Boston, MA in 1978. She attended the Art Students League from 1981 – 1988 and received her M.F.A. from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, in 1997.
Ms. Kessler has lived in various countries including Brazil, Mexico, Italy and France. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn Heights, NY.
