Born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Rockaway, NY, Linda Kessler received her B.A. from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY in 1975, and her M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern University, Boston, MA in 1978 (mentored by Wilbert (Skeeter) McClure, famed Olympic gold American boxer.) She was an apprentice in the atelier to Bulgarian artist, Anton Russev, attended the Art Students League from 1981–1988 and received her M.F.A. in Painting from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, in 1997.
Ms. Kessler has lived in various countries including Brazil, Mexico, Italy, France and Spain. She currently lives and works in New York City and continues to travel and document the world.
